DMK RestaurantsChicago proprietors of DMK Burger Bar, Fish Bar, Ada Street, County BBQ, Henry's, The Rec Room, Werewolf Coffee Bar, Marshall's Landing and Tavernonna ( Kansas City )announced that all of its properties have eliminated straws in an effort to protect the environment. Co-Owners Michael Kornick and David Morton have removed straws in the past from their seafood concept, Fish Bar.
Motivated by a January shooting near State and Division streets that wounded threeincluding an off-duty Cook County sheriff's deputycity inspectors have shut down three Division Street clubs: Detention, Primary Night Club and Room Seven, Eater Chicago noted. They also closed Palette, the restaurant that opened in May from the chef behind Batter & Berries. Inspectors raided the area and cited the establishments for various building violations including electrical and structural issues.
