Me and world famous porn star Brad McGuire go way back to acting together in a Halloween show at Navy Pier. We have left those days behind but still have time to hang out and talk about what is new in each other's lives.
P: So when I met you, like five years ago, I had no idea that you would be doing porn one day. You invited me to see you strip at The Bijou and I didn't know what that was, haha.
B: Yeah, they don't do shows like that at the Bijou anymore.
P: Ah, those were the days. When was your first movie?
B: It was in 1999, called Slobber Shot at the Cell Block.
P: And look at you now! Do you work exclusively for one company?
B: No, I was given advice from Chi Chi Larue not to get overexposed. Some stars change their look. My fans expect me the way I am.
P: So, do you have a lot of fans?
B: I have a fair amount. Sometimes a person will come up to me and say, ' I saw your video at RJ's.' People seem to be respectful of me.
P: What happened to your boyfriend that I always saw you with? He was a porn star also right?
B: Yes, we decided that we make better friends. I saw him on a video with his new boyfriend and I thought, 'Is this what Jennifer Aniston feels like?'
P: Talk about overexposed. So, in the movies what position are you?
B: I am an aggressive top. Never have bottomed, I don't like to anyway. I know what I am good at.
P: Something I have always wanted to know is how those guys are naked for the outdoor scenes without getting sunburned?
B: I am an Irish boy! It is difficult, I keep applying the sunscreen and it sweats off. I was in this movie called Sex Sweat Shop and it took forever.
P: Sounds like it really was a sweatshop. Did they have fluffers?
B: We usually just fluff each other. Everyone uses Viagra or they get a shot in their penis called Caberjack.
P: Are you kidding me? You must be full of stories.
B: One time it was 115 degrees in this one movie called World Splash Orgy with 35 men and we were free to match up with whomever we were attracted.
P: Wow, that sounds interesting. How does that work?
B: Well, the twinks kind of gravitate to the tops.
P: I feel so behind the scenes. I would love to go to a shoot. Next time that I am in LA, I am going to hang out on a set.
B: Travel is a perk. I have been all over the United States. I liked Yosemite and going to camp there.
P: How do you decide what movie to do?
B: I like to have dialogue. I don't like short shoots because the product is not good. Some companies care too much about the dialogue. And sometimes you get the script the night before or they feed you the lines as you go. They let you improvise sometimes which is fun.
P: Did you ever feel stretched as an actor? Not like when we were in that kiddie show together, hehe.
B: I did this one called His Terrible Twin where I got to get killed. That was a challenge.
P: So, you inspired me to review a movie that you did recently. Let's check it out together for the insider scoop.
