Thomas Sean Moore, 36, database administrator by day and aficionado of the opera, classical music, fine dining and wine by night, passed away Aug. 14, after a brief illness. Son of Mari Nittler, brother of Megan ( Lance ) Evenson and uncle of Taylor Evenson, all of Nebraska.
He will be remembered as a great uniter of people and leaves behind countless dear friends including Jennifer Tobin, Jean Lynch, Maureen Kolkka, Alicia Baylina and Gail Estka, David Mark and Ben Grabski, Evan Wilson and Dan Jack.
Tom had earned a Bachelor's in Art History from Lake Forest College and also studied Medieval Art at the graduate level at University of North Carolina.
He is also survived by Walter the Farting Dog and was the Honorary Uncle of Harley, Penny, Kaito & Natasha.
His friends wish to express their gratitude to Swedish Covenant Hospital's 5th Floor Cardiac Care Unit, Seasons Hospice and also to Dr. Tony Vancauwelaert.
Tom was very committed to educating underprivileged children in the arts, thus, donations may be made in his name to the Chicago Opera Theatre, 312-704-8414 or www.chicagooperatheater.org .
A celebration of his life is forthcoming.
Jose John Vicens, licensed cosmetologist, 41, of Logan Square, passed away surrounded by his family Aug. 14. Beloved son of Jose and Ada Vicens. Loving brother of Elizabeth ( Johnny ) Musa and Hector and Alexandro Vicens. Dear uncle of Jonathan Diaz and Jocelyn Musa. Memorial mass was Aug. 20, at Our Lady of Grace, 2450 N. Ridgeway.
