Out & Equal Workplace Advocates is pleased to announce the winners of its annual Workplace Awards, the "Outies." The awards were given October 7, 2010, at a gala dinner at the Los Angeles Convention Center hosted by activist and comedian Kate Clinton.
The awards were given in six categories, including: the Trailblazer Award, for an LGBT person who has made a major contribution to workplace equality; : the Champion Award, for a straight person who has championed LGBT equality in the workplace; the Significant Achievement Award, for a company that has made strides in LGBT equality; the Workplace Excellence Award, for a company that has demonstrated an overall commitment to pursuing and implementing equality for LGBT employees; and the ERG of the Year award, for the best LGBT employee resource group.
This year's award winners are as follows:
