According to TVguide.com, Ok! Magazine offered Lindsay Lohan around $1 million to came out as a lesbian in its pages. Lohan's rep denies that the celebrity took the magazine up on its offer. Rumors that Lohan and best friend DJ Samantha Ronson are lovers have resurfaced since photographs were taken of them during France's Cannes Film Festival.
UK singer/songwriter Lily Allen recently confirmed that she took a role in a new lesbian film. Allen will have a cameo role in the upcoming horror flick, 'Lesbian Vampire Killers.' According to The Sun, Allen will play a lesbian vampire. Allen is known for her hit song, 'Smile.'
Former 'The View' host Rosie O'Donnell ended her feud with Howard Stern by appearing on the shock jock's radio show. During her interview, O'Donnell admitted that she found former co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck attractive. However, O'Donnell's real celebrity crush is Angelina Jolie, she said. 'She's got a little darkness—a little kind of weird sexuality going on,' O'Donnell said about Jolie.
In other Rosie O'Donnell news, the former 'View' co-host told AP Radio that she will put her plans to remarry partner Kelli Carpenter on hold. Even though many in Hollywood are going to tie the knot following the California Supreme Court decision to allow same-sex marriages starting June 17, O'Donnell said she won't remarry until gay marriage is legal across the U.S. O'Donnell and Carpenter wed four years ago when San Francisco's mayor allowed gay marriages. Those marriages were later declared invalid.
A Web site is campaigning to keep The N's groundbreaking youth-oriented show created by Tom Lynch, South of Nowhere, on the air. In February, The N announced the cancellation of South of Nowhere after the completion of the third season. A Web site, www.savespashley.com, strives to garner support for the show. The show has been praised for its portrayal of a lesbian teen couple named 'Spashley' by fans.
LOGO announced a new reality show to debut early 2009, 'RuPaul's Drag Race.' In the six-episode series, contestants will compete to become America's next top drag queen. LOGO just launched the show's official Web site, www.rupaulsdragrace.com . |
