Personal PAC—a bipartisan political action committee dedicated to electing pro-choice candidates to state and local office in Illinois—held its Annual Awards Luncheon Oct. 20 at the Chicago Hilton, 720 S. Hilton. Out actress Cynthia Nixon of the TV series and movie Sex and the City was the keynote speaker, while Esther Saks ( Pro-Choice Leadership Award ) , Dorothy Roberts ( Pro-Choice Leadership Award ) and Phyllis Glink ( Irving B. Harris Spirit of Choice Award ) received honors. Many dignitaries attended, including politicians such as Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan and State Representatives Sara Feigenholtz and Greg Harris as well as candidates Deb Mell ( State Representative ) and Anita Alvarez ( Cook County State's Attorney ) .
