Black Swan
Black Swan swooped into theaters for the final time after being released on video March 29. IWasPerfect.com presented screenings of the film in four major citiesone of those being Chicagoat Landmark Century Centre Cinema April 2. Local favorites Frida Lay ( Black Swan ) and Mercedes ( White Swan ) hosted the event, pecking at hecklers and describing the night's upcoming antics. Audience members were encouraged to dress as ballet dancers and to channel their inner Rocky Horror by screaming out scripted phrases to specific scenes in the movie. Mercedes squawked into a megaphone at the crowd, coaching people to not eat their Ho-Hos until the cake-eating scene. Frida almost laid an egg when she discovered most of the audience had never seen the flick before this showing. Gift bags full of props allowed attendees to wear a black or white mask; stab the air with nail files; or throw black feathers into the air. Text and photos by Jerry Nunn
