CHICAGO ( February 4, 2020 ): Returning for the fourth consecutive year, the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce ( ACC ) is thrilled to host this winter's Andersonville Restaurant Week, running from February 21 March 1 with six first-time restaurant participants.
Andersonville Restaurant Week is a 10-day long salute to Andersonville's diverse and dynamic dining scene, serving up a variety of brunch, lunch, and dinner prix fixe menus, drink specials, and dessert. This event allows people to try multiple items from a well-curated list of offerings.
"This annual non-ticketed event is designed to bring new and returning customers into Andersonville restaurants," says Laura Austin, ACC Events Manager. "Reservations may be required at some destinations during peak dining times, but this event is appreciated for its accessibility and unique mix of worldly cuisine all in one district."
This year's event features the return of Big Jones offering an expanded four course prix fixe experience, Octavio Cantina & Kitchen, Svea and Anteprima, as well as first-time participants like Oda Mediterranean Cuisine offering $30 bottles of wine and an exclusive to Andersonville Restaurant Week $20 Georgian Grilled Cheese Bread on a skewer called Khachapuri Shampurze.
Additional first time participants include Gadabout, featuring a $30 prix fixe of the Grilled Broccoli, Chicken Thighs, and Key Lime Pops with the option of a wine pairing per course for $45; Little Madrid featuring a $20 Paella and appetizer special; Uvae Kitchen & Wine Bar, featuring a $30 three course prix fixe with three 3oz. wine pairings; Francesca's Bryn Mawr and Fat Chris's Pizza and Such.
"We are excited to offer guests the opportunity to experience our new restaurant with customized food and wine pairings," comments Lindsey Anderson, owner of Uvae Kitchen & Wine Bar. "We look forward to sharing our passion, knowledge, and technique as we enhance the dining experience through perfectly paired small plates & wine pours."
Further menu highlights include Replay Andersonville, featuring: $10 Crispy Cauliflower with Curry Dipping Sauce, $20 Smoked Chicken Thighs and $20 Red Curry Ribs; and Hutch American Kitchen + Bar featuring a $20 brunch menu and $30 dinner menu with choice of beverage, appetizer, and main entree. For diners looking for something "very Swedish" during Restaurant Week, the Swedish American Museum, will be hosting a Semlor Café ( Lenten Buns ) on Tuesday, February 25 and a Herring Breakfast on Sunday, March 1.
ACC will also highlight episodes from #AlwaysAndersonville: The Podcast, featuring Restaurant Week participants Michael Roper from Hopleaf, Lindsey Anderson from Uvae Kitchen + Wine Bar, Michael Bransford from Vincent, and more.
Full menus for Andersonville Restaurant Week will post to andersonville.org as they become available.
