||Windy City Smokeout to return July 8-11

The outdoor country-music/BBQ festival Windy City Smokeout will return to Chicago on July 8-11 outside the United Center, 1901 W. Madison St.
Hosted by BBQ joint Bub City and the venue Joe's Bar, the event will feature headliners Brett Eldredge, Darius Rucker (formerly of Hootie and the Blowfish), Dierks Bentley and Jon Pardi. Some of the other performers include Jillian Jacqueline, Riley Green, Cody Johnson and Walker County.
Restaurants slated to appear will include 17th Street BBQ, from Murphysboro, Illinois (from pitmaster Amy Mills); Pearl's Southern Comfort, from Chicago (Danny Beck); Truth BBQ, from Houston (Leonard Botello); Lillie's Q, from Chicago (Charlie McKenna); and Blue Oak BBQ, from New Orleans (Ronnie Evans); among many others.
The event will adhere to COVID protocols. All public areas will be thoroughly sanitized; hand-washing and sanitation stations will be available every 100 feet; and contactless payment will be used at all points of service.
