CHICAGO, IL - Windy City Performing Arts kicks off its 32nd season with concerts Dec. 3 and Dec. 4 featuring Windy City Gay Chorus and Aria sharing the joy and love of song that will make audiences' holidays merry and bright!

Under the artistic direction of Stephen C. Edwards, the performances will take place Saturday, Dec. 3 at 5:00 p.m. & 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 4 at 2:00 p.m. in Senn Hall, on the campus of Senn High School in Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood.

Senn Hall will ring bright with a diverse program of traditional carols, popular holiday tunes, and songs arranged for chorus, harp, percussion, and brass. From the very first note, the choruses will energize audiences with the Spirit of the Season from the motion picture, "The Polar Express".

And whether or not the forecast calls for a White Christmas, there'll be little doubt that The Holiday Season is, indeed, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year! Mrs. Santa's "medley" and very unique take on seasonal songs is certain to inspire remembrances of a Sleigh Ride in December! Stephen Schwartz' The Chanukah Song will lighten many hearts, and composer Karen Hart's Judah and His Maccabees promises a little bit of rap, a little bit of gospel, a little bit of humor—and a whole lot of soul!

Stylized pieces written for WCGC and Aria to be performed include Lanny Allen's arrangement of Silent Night and Paul Basler's Hodie Christus Natus Est. The concerts conclude with Pictures of a Season: a resounding panorama of Christmas tunes inspired by Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. Rockford, Illinois' Chad Weirick arranged this kaleidoscope of carols including Deck the Hall, Children Go Where I Send Thee, Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day, Carol of the Bells, and Do You Hear What I Hear.

Join Windy City Gay Chorus and Aria as they wrap up a triple sugar plum treat...in concerts filled with a little sass, a little brass, and a lot of class!

"Sassy! Brassy! Classy!" featuring Windy City Gay Chorus and Aria will take the stage Saturday, Dec. 3, at 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Senn Hall on the Senn High School campus in Chicago, 5900 N. Glenwood Ave. Senn Hall is accessible by CTA bus routes: 22 Clark St., 36 Broadway or 94 Peterson.

General admission tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at windycitysings.org . Discounted tickets for Seniors ($15) and Students ($10) are available only at the box office.

Performances are interpreted for the deaf and hard of hearing.

Windy City Performing Arts (WCPA) was incorporated in 1983 as the independent not-for-profit umbrella organization for Windy City Gay Chorus, Windy City Slickers, Unison: Windy City Lesbian and Gay Singers, and Aria: Windy City Women's Ensemble. Windy City Performing Arts exists to create, nurture and maintain performing arts ensembles of the highest level of artistic quality for the purposes of fostering gay and lesbian pride, promoting understanding and compassion for LGBT people, and reaching out to touch the lives of LGBT and mainstream audiences through musical excellence as Chicago's Premier LGBT Choral Arts Organization.
