On May 4, the Chicago White Sox (11-13) edged the Chicago Cubs (9-15) 4-3 in the second of the two-game Crosstown Classic series at Wrigley Field.
The Cubs had a 3-1 lead going to the third inning, but the White Sox scored runs in the third, fourth and sixth innings for the comeback. Jose Abreu and Leury García homered for the White Sox.
The White Sox stretched their winning streak to three, while the Cubs lost for the fifth time in six games, ESPN noted.
With the win, the South Siders swept the North Siders on the latter's home field. The two will play a two-game series at Guaranteed Rate Field later this month.
The White Sox will now travel to Boston to play the Red Sox on Friday, May 6. The Cubs will host the Los Angeles Dodgers on the same day.
