Defending WNBA champion the Las Vegas Aces upped its record to 30-4 by defeating the Chicago Sky (13-21) 94-87 on Aug. 24 at Wintrust Arena.
According to Bleacher Report, the Aces set the record for wins in a regular season with the victory.
Jackie Young had 24 points and 10 rebounds, Chelsea Gray and A'ja Wilson each added a double-double, and the Las Vegas Aces erased a 13-point halftime deficit against the Sky, a press release noted.
Notre Dame product Marina Mabrey had 22 points for the Sky, with Elizabeth Williams adding 17 and Kahleah Copper chipping in 13. Chicago dropped two games behind Los Angeles for the final playoff spot.
Chicago will next take on the Seattle Storm on Sunday, Aug. 27, at Climate Pledge Arena at 5 p.m. CT.
