Vintage House show honoring Chicago House Music with DJ Lori Branch May 5

Chicago, IL. May 3, 2021. Paving the way for every DJ behind her, DJ Lori Branch is continuously receiving flowers for her talents and dedication to music. Currently, through May, Spotify (spotify.com/chicago&; billboards highlighting Chicago music have been flooded throughout the city as a promotion for their premium subscription. Spotify is honoring DJ Lori Branch and Chicago music genres from Chicago House to Footwork. "Right here in Chinatown, DJ Lori Branch made her club debut — and made history happen" is written on the billboard overlooking the 293A exit over the Stevenson expressway. DJ Lori branch is one of Chicago's first woman DJs and is considered a house music pioneer.

She is currently one of The Vintage House Show Co-hosts Vintage House Show. This Wednesday, May 5, Lori will be interviewing Valencia "Mother Diva" Dantzler, who has many Film/TV credits to her name as a producer/writer/director/actress and is the Mother Ambassador of House Music. Directly following the interview, Lori will spin a set live on The Vintage House Shows Facebook Live as well as WNUR's 89.3 FM. DJ Lori Branch will also interview Charles Matlock, recording artist and producer Leroy Burgess Friday, May 7th at 8 pm in a special School House Edition show. She is the epitome of keeping house music alive, on May 8th, Lori will be spinning live at Epiphany Chicago for a new exhibition entitled Chicago: Home of House, tickets can be found here.

The VintageHouseShow.com is a WNUR.org | 89.3 FM radio show, now podcast and web show that honors other Chicago House and Dance Music pioneers such as our DJ Lori Branch. In adjusting to maintaining social distancing The Vintage House Show is also streaming on Facebook Live @VintageHouseonWNUR, however, after a year of digital streaming, they have returned to live in-studio shows airing on 89.3 FM.

Vintage House (VintageHouseShow.com) is the only on-air radio show and podcast in Chicago dedicated to illuminating and preserving the lives, music, and careers of house music legends. Vintage House is powered by the Modern Dance Music Research and Archiving Foundation (DanceMusicFoundation.org), the only repository in the United States dedicated solely to the study, preservation, and celebration of house and dance music genres, whose collections are featured at the Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Culture (@NMAAHC). Hosted by House Music Pioneers DJ Lori Branch and Kevin "Mega" McFall. Lori Branch (@djloribranch) is one of Chicago's first woman DJ's and Kevin McFall (@Megamix86) was the PR professional for Chicago's house music artists.
