The United States Women's National Team (U.S. WNT) announced its travel roster for the upcoming friendlies against Sweden and France on April 10 and 13, respectively.
Red Stars defender Tierna Davidson, midfielder Julie Ertz and goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher were selected as part of the 23-player travel roster.
Ertz has 108 total appearances for the U.S. WNT. She has played in all five of the team's matches in 2021, playing the full 90 minutes in four. Ertz was a member of the starting lineup in the squad's previous match against France in a crucial 2-1 victory at the quarterfinals of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.
In 68 career appearances, Naeher has 40 career shutouts with the U.S. WNT. She has played in five matches for the team in 2021 and has kept 10 consecutive international clean sheets, the longest streak of her career. Naeher was in net against France and Sweden during the squad's victories over both teams in the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Davidson earned the start in the U.S. WNT's previous match against Argentina in the finale of the SheBelieves Cup. She has made two appearances for the squad in 2021. The Red Stars defender already has 28 international appearances at age 22.
The U.S WNT begins its European tour April 10 in Stockholm. Kickoff against Sweden on April 10 is scheduled for 12 p.m. CT on FOX. The tour concludes against France in Le Havre on April 13, with kickoff scheduled for 2 p.m. CT on ESPN 2.
Some of the other players on the national team include Megan Rapinoe, Carli Lloyd, Alex Morgan, Catarina Macario, Samantha Mewis, Alana Cook and Crystal Dunn.
