Theater D is proud to present its 2014 production of playwright, Scott McPherson's first play, "Till The Fat Lady Sings" . Scott McPherson, author of the award winning play, "Marvin's Room", passed away before his time in 1992 but leaves behind a legacy as a magnificent playwright. He began his unfortunately short, but magnificent writing career while still in college when he wrote, "Till the Fat Lady Sings" . In this un-published play, McPherson has crafted a humorous exploration of how people react to life's darker moments. In this black comedy we experience a humorous exploration of how people react to death. The play lets us into the kitchen of the O'Niel family just after the funeral of their teenage son who has been killed in a motorcycle accident. We get to sit with them at the kitchen table as a continuous flow of awkward friends and relatives come by to pay their respects. An amazingly thoughtful work that allows us to laugh at our own weakness and turn with courage to smile at our worst fears.
Theater D's signature trademark is the magnificent dessert buffet at intermission which is included in the $20 ticket price.
