Chicago IL — The Neapolitans are set to present their "Seven Deadly Sins Festival" to theater goers this fall. Plays feature dramatic stories such as the meeting of an estranged father and daughter after 25 years to an illicit love affair that takes place in a bedding store.

Each work has been crafted by separate minds to ensure audience members experience a diverse collection of visions in a unified effort.

Price: $20 general admission, $10 for students and senior citizens.

Festival pass: see all plays - $75, $50 for students and senior citizens.

Producer Susan Padveen will direct "New Men" by Cory Tamler which focuses on Envy. Padveen is a freelance director and full-time faculty member at Columbia College Chicago where she coordinates the directing program. Most recently she produced the Off-Chekhov Festival for the Neapolitans, and she also directed a devised piece titled "The Space Between" that focused on Emily Dickinson. She will direct "The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui" at Columbia this fall. Tamler is a playwright, director and theatermaker with a degree in physics and philosophy. She hales from Pittsburgh but is currently based in Brooklyn. Most recently she was the playwright for Open Waters Theater Arts' of Farms and Fables for director Jennie Hahn.

Associate Producer J. Cody Spellman will direct "Waiting For Grimace" by Ross Berman. Spellman is a senior directing student at Columbia College Chicago. He stage managed The Off-Chekhov Festival as well as Sketchfest at Theatre 773. Spellman was runner-up in Fine Print Theatre's Citizens Play Festival.

Marathon performances of all seven plays will be given on Saturdays during the production run.

Most recently The Neapolitans presented "The Off-Chekhov Festival" in the summer of 2011. The festival of four works was based on the plays, stories and characters of Anton Chekhov and were presented at the Viaduct Theater.

The Neapolitans Theatre Company is a Chicago based collective that came together in the summer of 2007 after performances at EP Theatre in Pilsen.
