In the mood for a night cap? Have a few with the kids of Nightcaps, Berlin's monthly variety show, the last Friday of each month at 11 p.m., followed by DJ Greg Haus' Cosmix. Hosts Adam Guerino and The Puterbaugh Sisters pack the place with comedy, dance, snakes, fire, unicorns... you name it!
Went downtown last Thursday to check out the new weekly party at Sayat Nova, 157 E. Ohio St. DJ Brett Locascio set the scene at this Mediterranean gem. Cute crowd, cute DJ and I paid like $5 for a call Martini. I can give no more ringing endorsement than to say I got good liquor on the cheap. It's a must-do!
While there I popped upstairs to Second Story Bar where I chatted with Pedro and Olivia of Project VIDA. I laid some old-man history on them and they, in turn, offered to take me down to La Cueva. Stay tuned for pics from that excursion. They're taking me into their "cave." Gotta love that level of hospitality.
Git yer ass down to Windy City Rodeo this weekend. Or just git Fahootched with me and the cowpokes on the rodeo bar crawl, kicking off from Charlie's at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 19.
So I'm sitting at Sofo talking to a friend whose name I won't mention ( and who is not pictured in this issue, so don't go looking for clues ) . He told me that he was at a certain jungle-cat-based gym lately when he spied a hot guy undressing in the locker room. Said hot guy left his socks behind on his way to the shower and my unnamed friend snagged his dirty socks and sniffed them as he jerked off in the stall, leaving his load dripping on the wall. 20 minutes later, he came back to scene of the crime to see that someone had licked away the evidence!
I told him I'd put that in my column this week.
