Before anything else, let me thank Bruce Mirken, Director of Communications for the Marijuana Policy Project, for being our special guest Nightspots MAFIA member. Bruce is currently working hard on the Illinois medical marijuana bill. If you have a heart and a moment, please stop over to www.mpp.org to get more info on the Marijuana Policy Project and to see how you can help.
No, smoking a bong is NOT considered helping!
At 3160 I partied like it was 2003, thanks to seeing my good old ( 29? In leap years. maybe. ) friend Steve, aka Stella of Stella Productions. When I think of all the times back in the day, when she'd be burning the candle at both ends and I would plead with her to take it back a notch, now I'm pleading with her to show her face more. We all love you, Stella and it's always a party with you around. Dinner?
Thanks to our differing deadlines, you may have seen certain pictures of yours truly being scandalized to the hilt at Circuit's 11th anniversary party. I didn't get any similar shots of CFP's Dave, but I did manage to capture him in a sweet embrace with Paula Sinclaire. Let the rumors fly...
It's never a holiday without a hunk of Tom's sausage at Scot's. He insisted I take at least a nibble. I can't take sausage like I used to, but I managed to gulp down a goodly portion. It's not an everyday thing, Tom's sausage. That's what makes it more special.
Thanks to Peter List for emailing a great shot of Granville Anvil's Sketch Angel, celebrating his 10th anniversary at the bar.
Got an itch for pub trivia? Sister Mary Monistat will scratch it for you. And she's got them long nails. Get in on the scratching on Mondays at Pub Trivia night at Crew.
Speaking of Crew, I never knew that Chad, the delectable little leather boy on the cover a few weeks ago is doing double duty at the Crews.
And while we're on Chads, hello to Crew's Chad 2. You know you'll always be Chad 1 to me. I guess cover boy's at least Chad 3 by now.
I'm hearing a lot about Hydrate's new Wild Tuesdays. Chicago's hottest Latin DJs mixed with great drink specials on Sauza and Coronas make for a Latin explosion in your mouth.
OK, I had to recover from that one.
Well, I'm off to Denver for a week. I've got to go pick up a Crystal Carrington wig so I can re-enact some of my fav moments from Dynasty on the streets of the city with my friend Al, who, unbeknownst to him, will become Alexis before my week is through.
