A Sister's Hope is holding the 18-hole golf tournament/fundraiser "Take a Swing at Breast Cancer!" Monday, Sept. 12, at Highland Park Country Club, 1201 Park Ave. West, Highland Park, 1-7:30 p.m.
A Sister's Hope, a registered 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) charity, is dedicated to raising significant funding for breast-cancer research and aims "to helping individuals realize their own power to make the world what we dream it can be."
Golfers are asked to swing for a high fundraising goal: $324 ( $18 x 18 holes ) Full Round Golfer, which includes hole sponsorship and entry to win $100 prize, or $200 basic golfer fee. The basic fee includes tournament entry, post-golf beverage vouchers, goodie bag, dinner, raffle ticket and course catering vouchers. People can initially register for $50 ( that will go toward registration and reservation ) .
