A whole new crowd turned out for Super 8 Cum Shot who were performing at Jackhammer. The band were loud and snotty, just like the gang over here at Nightspots …in fact, the band's lyrics sounded creepily like some of the comments made at a Nightspots Mafia meeting. 'Hollywood Beach' was right on the mark …

If you see Super 8 Cum Shot advertised around town, just cancel everything and go see them. Although, I think Jackhammer was the perfect venue for them. Fingers crossed we see them there again soon.

Speaking of Jackhammer, have you seen that new bartender? It's serious eye candy for those with a very sweet tooth. And yes, DJ Kevin Bernal is my new bodyguard.

I recently dropped into Michelle Fire's new eaterie Tweet @ 5020 N. Sheridan. Have you been there yet? It's fabulous!! Go for breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday morning. You'll be stunned when you see the place …

... of course, it's Michelle, so we knew it wasn't going to be a cheesy little diner, but she's really topped her own high standards with Tweet.

Congratulations to Crystal (Ms. ILGRA) who won the Ron Jesser Buckle at this year's Colorado Gay Rodeo. Ron Jesser was one of the founders of the International Gay Rodeo and was the first Illinois member to win this buckle.

Also congratulations to Mephisto for their successful fashion patio party at Jackhammer. Look out for upcoming pix in Nightspots. Drop into their leather store at 3922 N. Broadway. Ask about the AussieBum swimwear, tops and shorts.

The Annex 3 was buzzing with people a couple of weekends ago. First it was the wonderful An Evening of Show Tunes with the Barony. A glittering experience as always, and such a friendly crowd of fun guys and gals. Then it was Ginger's birthday, when the Annex looked more like the Baton. Happy birthday Ginger and what about those Latin boyz …

Mr. Flint himself was the MC and people flew in from all over the country to celebrate. Phil Lasheo and I voted it best show we've seen in a long time … that may have had something to do with Paul Lopez. Actually, it had a LOT to do with Paul Lopez.

+++

I was so pissed I missed Gurlesque Burlesque, but the grlz took some fabulous pix. Same thing at Inn Exile which Kirk said was packed and a riot.

I did drop into Clarks for their 15-year anniversary. That bar has the most fun staff in town—insane, but fun. They're not right …

… no, seriously, I mean it. They're crazy. They've certainly turned Clarks around and made it the hip place to go.

+++

I guess I'm a sucker for punishment, but I went on another bar crawl with Frankie Da Kat. Bobby Love's for Creaoke, ChixMix … I don't remember where we went after that. On the cab ride home, I shouted Frankie Da Kat and the driver—Indian, I think—almost screeched to a halt, 'Are you Frankie Da Kat? Oh my God, I've got Frankie Da Kat in the cab … .'

You either love Frankie or you hate him; a lot of people can't even be in the same room as him. I don't care what other people think, here's a dear friend to me ... I love him. He's one crazy fuck, though …
