I hear a rumor going around that I briefly left Nightspots after having a major hissy fit. I'd love to meet the little fairy who started that one …

The rumor about me and porn stars Nick Piston and Steve Cannon isn't true either. We're just good friends …

And the rumor about me and Gina and a bottle of fabric softener is a big fat lie as well.

However, the rumor about me and Larry at Different Strokes is definitely true. He's totally lusting after me … or he was until he got his new glasses.

On the subject of Strokes, Michael … what did I do? I'm sorry if I upset you. You know I love you.

+++

Quite a crowd turned out for the Evil Beaver Pleased to Eat You CD release party at Berlin. Have you ever eaten an evil beaver? A lot of people out there are saying Yep!! I've eaten a few evil beavers in my time …

… However, I'd rather eat photographer Chris Kellner fried in butter with leaks …

+++

Kirk and I went to the i-candy party down at the Dragon Room at 809 W. Evergreen, and WOW! Three floors of the best music, food, and do those girls know how to party!!

If you weren't there you really missed a treat. Kirk and I have fallen in love with the place.

+++

I lasted about an hour at Market Days: dropped into Cocktail and Bucks for a beer, took photographs, bumped into friends, watched one band, then headed up to Charlie's and Bobby Love's for some sanity. I'm not used to going out in daylight …

+++

That cute new bartender at Bucks is so thin and gorgeous, I just want to slap him. Smiles like that should carry a Government Hard-On Warning …

+++

Congratulations to Monique Marquette for winning Miss Cosmopolitan Wisconsin US of A and look out for her benefit show coming up September 13 at Jackhammer.

+++

Itching for a little road trip, then check out Milwaukee's newest hotspot, Out'n About Restaurant and Dance Club at 1407 South 1st. It opened August 1. One of the Nightspots gang was there and is raving about the place. Free parking for 100's of cars, and an excellent menu including a jazz brunch on Saturday and Sunday. The official grand opening is next month. More info in the coming weeks …

Hot Tips:

The Windy City Rodeo 2003. You'll find details inside.

Mr. Continental on August 28 at the Baton and August 30 at Park West, and then Miss Continental August 31 and September 1 at the Vic Theatre are going to be the spectacular events of the season. These are two events where you have to be 'seen,'or you might as well not exist at all.

Don't forget the Rodeo party at the Edge on August 22. I went last year and it was acres of hot guys and gals in cowboy hats + a great show. Hi China!!

Teri Yaki's drag show at Charlie's every Sunday night at 10.30 p.m.-ish is another must-see event. It's unpredictable, wild and a little bit scary … OK, it can get REALLY scary. Nobody throws themselves around a dance floor like those girls. Hang onto your cocktail, or you could be wearing it …

Oh those dancers at Cocktail are a meal and a half. I love that bar, it's terminally cool … and the guy who's got the photographic exhibition coming up at Cocktail better call me.
