The weekend of January 12th marked a new era for Windy City Media. Tracy Baim turned 40. For those of you who weren't able to attend her party on Sunday, it was a beautiful and funny trip down memory lane. From her accomplishments with Windy City and the community, to her growing up, to friends and colleagues roasting and toasting her well. Lesbians, free desserts, drinks, and comedians. I wouldn't have missed it. Jodie Foster recently turned 40 in November and said, 'I think women are more interesting in their 40s.' I agree. 10) Your waistline is gaining on your age. Unless you're naturally thin and/or an exercise fanatic, then your waistline is half your age.
9) If you're still with the same partner since your 20s, you've passed the lesbian bed death phase and most likely have moved on to the second honeymoon phase. This consists of sex at all hours as often as you both can muster up the strength every day.
8) If you're well endowed, your breasts can now be used as arm rests or coasters. You can also hide more things in your cleavage now. If you're not well-endowed, you're missing out on Mother Nature's trick of sending everything south as we get older.
7) Your family has finally stopped asking if you've found the right man and accepted that you'll be bringing your 'roommate' to all family functions. It also ends the questions about children as well if you don't already have them.
6) If you're single, chances are your old college flame is too and you can look her up and try to rekindle the old romance.
5) There are actually choices in films to see about lesbians. My personal favorite so far has been the recent The Hours. You can put a fake nose on Nicole Kidman any day of the week. I still knew it was her, and she looks and acts as stunning as ever. It's always been the eyes for me.
