summer crushes. I am still here in beautiful sunny, Africa-hot ( as the other actors have taught me ) Florida. And I am in the show that is bringing me into the fold officially of Actor's Equity: Big, the Musical. That is a true claim to fame. How'd you get your Equity card? Big, the Musical. Ah. It's also the show in which I fell in love with two beautiful human a a beings. It was love at first sight for all of us. Let's call the woman Rachel and the man Charles. The three of us have been inseparable ever since. She's married to a man, so is he and well, we know I'm a big old lesbian ( though big is not the right word... I've lost 30 lbs since I've been here ) . We are all happily involved in our relationships but just have an open love and affection for one another. We've dubbed it Adult Summer Camp. Here are the rules. For those of you who have never been to Adult Summer Camp, Strap This On for a wet ride!

The Top Ten Reasons to Go to Adult Summer Camp

10 ) The Food and Drinks: At Adult Summer Camp, we're adults so we can afford better food and drinks. The only dilemma is which wine goes with what.

9 ) The Setting: It's musical theatre in Florida and it's close to the beach and the bay.

8 ) The After Show: Dollar drinks at the theatre bar, the salsa-dancing, the karaoke nights, the actor's apartment across the alley from the theatre, the walk of shame the next morning when we happened to all fall asleep till 4 AM... good times, good times.

7 ) The Will and Grace Moments: Her hand on his chest, mine on hers, and his on mine.

6 ) The Games: Who can see a shooting star on the beach first, who can pick out the most delicious bottle of wine, who gives the best foot massages, and who can borrow the most stuff from the Ritz-Carlton.

5 ) The Campfire Talks: What better way to get through family visits and issues than with a few drinks and mature, loving and non-judgmental people?

4 ) The Love: It's theatre. We all get to touch each other fondly ( or fondlingly touch each other ) and blame it on the show.

3 ) The Adventures: Rachel and I got a midnight ride on a 46-foot ( and 2 inch long ) boat. Only a man would add the two inches but I'm not judging. Every inch counts... or so I've heard.

2 ) The Sleeping Arrangements: What safer place is there than a bed with a lesbian, a gay man, and a het woman?

1 ) The Memories: Knowing we can still find amazing, wonderful people like this in the world just makes me all warm ( and wet ) inside.

I am here in beautiful sunny, Sarasota, playing Mrs. Kopecki in Big ( the musical ) through July 16. Go to www.thegoldenapple.com for showtimes if you're in the area. I'll also be swimming at Gay Games on July 21. Go to www.gaygames.org for tickets to this once in lifetime event! Email me at StrapThisOn@aol.com .
