The Official Star Trek Convention Returns to the East Coast October 22 - 24 with Superstars Leonard Nimoy and Christopher Lloyd
Star Trek fans will celebrate three big days of everything "Trek" as Creation Entertainment brings Chicago, Il the Official Star Trek Convention, Friday through Sunday, October 22, 23, & 24. The festivities will take place at the Westin O'Hare Hotel, 6100 North River Road, Rosemont. Plenty of Parking is available.
The Official Star Trek Convention will feature legendary actor Leonard Nimoy, Mr. Spoke of Classic Star Trek ( on Friday ) , and iconic actor Christopher Lloyd ( on Sunday ) from such favorites as Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, TAXI, Back to the Future and more..
Other Starfleet worthy Star Trek celebrities scheduled to appear will include: on Friday, Barbara March ( Lursa ) and Gwynyth Walsh ( B'Etor ) ; on Saturday, Deep Space Nine actors' Armin Shimerman ( Quark ) , Max Grodenchik ( Rom ) , Casey Biggs ( Damar ) , Jeffrey Combs ( Weyoun ) , Marc Alaimo ( Gul Dukat ) and Enterprise's and Vaughn Armstrong ( Seskal ) ; and on Sunday, J.G. Hertzler ( Martok ) and Robert O'Reilly ( Gowron ) in full "Klingon" costumes, Jacob Kogan ( Star Trek's Young Spock ) and Chase Masterson ( Deep Space Nine's Leeta ) .
Friday Night offers two special separate events. At 7:30 PM Leonard Nimoy's will present a photography seminar of his latest project "Secret Selves" a series of portraits and video interviews of people as their secret hidden or fantasy personalities.
Also, on Friday night at 9:00 PM, a special Star Trek "Rat Pack" Nightclub Cabaret will take place. Featured will be Max Grodenchik, Vaughn Armstrong, Jeffrey Combs, Casey Biggs and Armin Shimerman in this hilarious and fun evening music and comedy show. A separate ticket is required for both Friday events.
In addition to celebrity appearances, the non-stop auditorium show will include behind the scenes presentations, costume and trivia contests, no minimum bid auctions of unique collectibles and one-of-a-kind items, and special salute videos and previews of upcoming sci-fi television shows and motion pictures.
In the Creation autograph area, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and obtain autographs from notable Star Trek and sci-fi media guests. Also, not to be missed will be an exhibit hall featuring Star Trek and sci-fi collectibles from across the galaxy, autographs, photo opportunities and more.
General admission tickets are available at the door for $30 on Friday, $20 on Saturday and $40 on Sunday. General admission tickets for children 12 and under are $15. Children six and under are admitted free when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Friday night Leonard Nimoy Photography Seminar tickets are $199 ( limited amount available ) and the "Rat Pack" Cabaret tickets are $20 at the door. Show hours are Friday, NOON - 6:00 PM, Saturday, 10:00 - 6:00 PM, and Sunday, 11:00 - 6:00 PM ( times are tentative ) .
