Dante Ingram
After working as a fashion designer, a shoeshine, and an artist's model, Dante started writing lyrics and melodies. Through her writing partners, Dante became acquainted with some of the finest
musicians in Chicago. With the help of their talent, she produced and released a CD, Songs for Saints and Sinners.
Dante has worked with at least seven different burlesque groups in Chicago and NYC. Those groups include: Chicago Burlesque and Vaudeville, Gurlesque Burlesque, DeCorps Costume Collective, Flirt, and VaVa Voom Room in New York City. With these groups she has sung, fan danced, balloon danced, and added a new half man/half woman burlesque act.

Cherish, the Burlesque Goddess
This week our cover features Cherish, the Burlesque Goddess. Cherish follows the old
burlesque adage of 'you gotta have a gimmick' in her act. She employs elaborate costumes and props in her unusual and exotic routines (including her cover cohort, Pagan.) She counts among her influences: Lillith, Tempest Storm, Bettie Page, Kali, Venus, Theda Bara, and Maya Deren.
Cherish, like Dante, can often be found performing in local clubs. She performs regularly with Chicago Burlesque. She also performs from time to time at Berlin.
