Dance Chicago 2006 heads into Week Two at the Athenaeum Theatre with performances at the New Moves Festival, taking place on Nov. 9, 10, 12 and 16. The much-celebrated New York City Ballet and Kirov Ballet have come and gone from the big Downtown venues, and now for much less money you can see the very best and most diverse selections of local dance companies and dance artists. The New Moves Festival offers a different program each night in a celebration of Chicago-made dance works. Dance Chicago 2006 continues through Dec. 3 at The Athenaeum, 2936 N. Southport; ( 312 ) 902-1500; $15-$20. FYI: This is the sixth annual Dance Chicago. |
