10 more sports close for Sydney 2002
With one month to go until the Sydney 2002 Gay Games Opening Ceremony, it was announced that 10 more sports have been closed to registrations.
There are now more than 13,000 people registered to participate in Sydney 2002.
Registration can be completed online at www.sydney2002.org .au or at the Sydney 2002 Information and Registration Centre ( 92 Oxford St, Darlinghurst ) .
WCAA Women's Basketball League to Begin
New location and dates are set for the 2002-2003 WCAA women's basketball season. The league kicks off at their bigger facility at Winnemac Park ( Damen @ Foster ) . There are three open gyms in November and the official start of league play begins Dec. 8. Open gyms will be Nov. 10, 17 & 24 from Noon to 2 p.m. Individuals looking to join a team as well as form teams are encouraged to attend. Team fee is $350. Registration for the season will take place at any of the open gyms. Deadline for team entry is Nov. 24.
