Women's Pool League
The Chicago Women's Pool League is about to start its 26th year. They are at eight teams, with sponsors including Lost & Found, Clark's on Clarks, Spyners, T's and Stargaze. 'We hope to expand this year and look forward to sending many players to the Gay Games,' said organizer Gomez.
The Chicago Women's 8 Ball League will be having open registration for new teams and players at Stargaze, 5419 N. Clark Street, on Wednesday, Sept. 22. There will be a manager's meeting from 7-8 p.m. and open registration and a new player's clinic from 8-10 p.m. All individual players looking for a team must attend.

Women's Bowling
The Timber Lanes Women's Bowling League began Sept. 10. Games are every other Friday at the irving Park facility. Dates: 9/24, 10/8, 10/22, 11/5, 11/19, 12/3, 12/7, 1/14, 1/28, 2/11, 2/25, 3/11, 3/25, 4/8, 4/22, 5/6.
Nike Hit & Wonder
Nike Run Hit Wonder 5K/10K and Nike Training Runs have been set. Race night: Thursday, Sept. 23, 8 p.m., on Columbus, just south of Balbo in downtown Chicago. Race entry price: $25. Olympic Gymnasts

The 2004 T.J. Maxx Tour of Gymnastic Champions, featuring members of the 2004 women's and men's Olympic Teams, will stop in Chicago Saturday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.,., at the UIC Pavilion. USA Gymnastics owns and operates the T.J. Maxx Tour of Gymnastics Champions, and will conduct the tour in partnership with the Arena Network. Performers will include Courtney Kupets, Courtney McCool, Carly Patterson, Terin Humphrey, Annia Hatch. Mohini Bhardwaj, Jason Gatson, Brett McClure and Guard Young.
Meanwhile, a competing tour is also on the schedule, the 2004 Rock & Roll Gymnastics Championships Tour. Paul Hamm and Svetlana Khorkina are among those set to perform. (www.rockandrollgym.com).
