Run all the way to Honolulu!
Don't miss your chance to run along the breathtaking beaches of Honolulu. The National AIDS Marathon Training Program can train you to run the Honolulu Marathon in just six months and 98% of those who complete the program will cross the finish line. The deadline to register is June 4 and training begins June 12.
Developed by Olympic athlete and world-renowned marathon trainer Jeff Galloway, the training program is geared to beginners and experienced runners and combines both running and walking to prepare participants to go the 26.2-mile distance. Since 1998, the AIDS Marathon Training Program has trained over 14,000 people to run a marathon and raised $45 million for men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS.
Program staff and professional coaches will host weekend training runs and will include information on nutrition, gear and exercise. In exchange for the specialized training and support, participants raise funds to benefit HIV/AIDS prevention, care and advocacy projects funded through the AIDS Foundation of Chicago's grantmaking program.
