The first managers' meeting of the 2004 CMSA softball season will be Thursday, Feb. 19 at the Margate Field House, 4900 N. Marine Drive. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and a few items they will focus on will be the season schedule, divisional lineup, NAGAAA rating changes, World Series berths and league finances. A team representative from returning and new teams is required to attend.

This year, the league is up to 30 teams from throughout the nation ... and will likely grow in the coming months. 'We've also introduced a new game ball designed especially for us by Nike. AIDS Marathon Training Come spring, seasoned and novice runners will begin to prepare for a journey that may very well be the challenge of a lifetime. Heart of America AIDS Ride July 12-13 Among the several midwest AIDS rides which have cropped up to replace the now-defunct Palotta Teamworks Heartland Ride is the 2003 Heart of America Ride for AIDS (www.aidsride2003.org), a new bicycle event designed to raise funds to assist the region's AIDS community. The ride is set to take place July 12-13 beginning and ending near Starved Rock State Park, Ill.
