FourWOMEN, a play written and directed by Peter Lamar Chatman, will start Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. at the NU Stage Theatre, 500 E. 67th St.
The production focuses on four African-American women—'one black, one yellow, one brown and one dark brown,' as the press release states—who are initially strangers and who deal with their collective and individual demons in 1929, 10 days after a brutal five-day race riot in Chicago.
Chatman has trained young actors for over a decade. He has written and directed several plays and musicals at the New Regal Theater and The Chicago Theatre Company.
Ticket Prices are $25 ( $15 for seniors and students ) . Call 773-493-0901. |
