Longtime Sidetrack General Manager Chuck Hyde will be leaving his post soon.

The bar released this statement: "Over the next few months, Chuck will be transitioning out of his role as General Manager. Sidetrack is immensely grateful for Chuck Hyde's dedication to the business and its role in our community for more than three decades."

"We are proud of all that we have accomplished together and wish Chuck continued success," said Art Johnston and Pepe Pena, co-owners.

Hyde, who at one point was a partial owner of the bar, started work in July 1982, just three months after Sidetrack was launched. He served in various capacities over the years, most recently as the popular general manager of the bar, one of the largest gay clubs in the nation. He works extensively with non-profits in the community on benefits held at the bar.

Johnston said this was a business-related decision and it was amicable.
