As you might expect, I give many clients insight into their love lives and relationships. But one of the relationship situations I was able to help with that sticks with me the most was between two mothers and their six-year-old daughter.
We have all heard stories of couples who enter into an agreement with a close friend to be a donor and then have the terms of the agreement change once the child is born. But when Mom #1 came to me for intuitive guidance for the first time, I was nervous. I could sense how sweet this family was and, more importantly, the love they shared.
John Donor, who was also gay, was a childhood friend of Mom #2. It seemed only natural that he would be the donor when the moms were ready to plan their family. John Donor was thrilled that he would be the one giving the moms such a precious gift.
Unfortunately, as time passed, John Donor changed his mind. He decided that it was not a gift after all, and demanded parental rights after the girl was already five years old. He started making demands and threatening to sue for full custody if his demands were not met. The couple abided by his demands for over six months.
Mom #1 explained that they had tried various methods, including therapy, to reason with John Donor. But nothing had worked. The thought of this little girl being taken from her family really affected me.
I took a deep breath and asked my guides for clear and accurate direction. As soon as Mom #1 said the donor's name, I was flooded with impressions of his personality and how to deal with him. He took pride in people thinking that he was a nice and generous man. I also picked up the fact that some personal losses had shifted how he viewed the world.
When dealing with bully energy, it is important to know that the more you give, the more they want, I advised. My guides gave me clear and concise direction for the situation. Mom #2 needs to stand up to him. She needs to call his bluff and take back her power.
Mom #2 did just that. She met with John Donor and told him how things were going to be moving forward. They were not going to change the decisions based on his wishes, and he would not be included in their family any more.
Sometimes in life we are faced with situations where we have to break the energetic constraints of those who bully or overpower us. Mom #2 stood up to the bully in her life and by doing so, took back her power.
