Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted St., is hosting the 2019 Queer Prom ( theme: "Midnight in Paris" ) for LGBTQ youth on Friday, May 10, 5-8 p.m., on the building's third floor.

The annual prom is an opportunity for LGBTQIA youth between the ages of 13 and 24 to celebrate all parts of their identities without feeling silenced or alone.

The Center is partnering with American Airlines for the event. American Airlines is providing attire for the prom; contact Youth Program Manager David Biele at dbiele@centeronhalsted.org for more details.

Also, there will be a fitting Friday, May 3, 12-5 p.m. Support also comes from Mario Tricoci—who will be providing hair and makeup opportunities for youth guests—as well as PepsiCo.

The prom is free; visit CenterOnHalsted.org for more information.
