Two Chicago Red Stars made their professional debuts and held the Houston Dash to three total shots as the opening game of the NWSL (National Women's Soccer League) Challenge Cup ended in a scoreless draw in Houston's BBVA Stadium on April 9, a press release noted.
Sarah Woldmoeacquired in an offseason trade with Gotham FC (then Sky Blue FC)entered the pitch late in the second half, coming in as a substitute. The other player making her debut, Orland Park native Tatumn Milazzo, subbed in at the 86th minute for Arin Wright.
The Red Stars will make their 2021 Challenge Cup home debut against the Portland Thorns on Thursday, April 15, at 6:30 p.m. CT.
