At Phoenix's Footprint Center, the Chicago Sky fell to the Phoenix Mercury 103-83 on Aug. 31.
The loss followed a 32-point win over the Seattle Storm on Aug. 29.
Chicago once again had balanced scoring, with four players (Kahleah Copper, Azura Stevens, Courtney Vandersloot and Diamond DeShields) scoring in double figures. Copper led the way for Chicago, pouring in a team-high 18 points.
Skylar Diggins-Smith had a near triple-double (20 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds) to help give the Mercury (16-10) its seventh straight win of the season.
The Chicago Sky (14-13) head to Nevada to face the Las Vegas Aces (19-7) for another game as part of the team's Western Conference road trip. The tip-off is set for 9 p.m. CT; Sky fans can cheer on the team by tuning into The U/NBA TV (or WMYS).
