The San Francisco Rock Dogswhich won a gold medal at the 2006 Gay Gamestook the Men's Open A Division title, defeating Spin-Freeze 47-33. In the Men's Open B Upper Division, Chicago 3160 downed Chicago Roscoe's 47-35 to win.
The Minneapolis Bounce defeated the Memphis Express 61-53 to take the Men's Open B Lower title, while the Boston Fritz defeated HoopDreams 41-26 to take the Men's C bracket.

The United States women's hockey team won the world championship for the second time April 12, courtesy of a 4-3 upset of Canada, according to CBS Sportsline.
Natalie Darwitz scored two goals for the U.S., while Angela Ruggiero and Jenny Potter recorded one goal apiece.
The U.S. defeated Canada 4-2 in a playoff game April 10 to set up the championship game.
Finland earned the bronze medal, defeating Switzerland 4-1.
