The Ravinia Women's Board unveiled the winner of its annual Ravinia season poster competition.
Minneapolis graphic designer Sean Quinn, 28, is the recipient of the competition's top prize for a second time; his entry in the 2019 competition was selected to be the Ravinia season poster that year. The Ravinia Women's Board has hosted the blind-adjudicated design competition annually since 1974, and this is the first time there has been a repeat winner.
Quinn's 2021 winning design was inspired by the journey concertgoers go through at Ravinia before the music starts onstage.
Quinn will receive a $1,000 cash prize, and his design will be featured in the promotion of the upcoming 2021 Ravinia season, distributed among hundreds of Chicagoland stores and public spaces, and sold exclusively at The Festival Shop. The $500 second-place prize went to Hong-Seok Park, of South Korea; and Kevin Schneider of Glendale, California, won the $250 third-place prize. Honorable mentions include Jeffrey Cook, of New York City; and Stephanie Beischer, of Kildeer, Illinois. |
