'Queer Eye' co-host part of Ideas Week

Queer Eye co-host Jonathan Van Ness will be part of Chicago Ideas Week when he appears Saturday, Sept. 28, at "Jonathan Van Ness: Beyond Permission," 7-8:30 p.m. at Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave.
In this conversation, Van Ness will explore how the hate and rejection he experienced while growing up taught him how to accept, love and celebrate himself.
Also, there will be a special performance by a local group to start the program.
Each ticket purchase will include a copy of Van Ness's new memoir, Over the Top: A Raw Journey to Self-Love. ( Over the Top will be out Tuesday, Sept. 24. ) Tickets will be on sale Wed., Aug. 14; visit www.chicagoideas.com/events/jonathan-van-ness-beyond-permission . |
