HBO has announced its slate of films for 2006-07, and among the upcoming movies is an AIDS-related feature starring Oscar-nominated musician-actress Queen Latifah.

Latifah will star in Life Support, which views the African-American community's HIV crisis through the eyes of a survivor who is a mother, a former crack addict and an AIDS activist. Based on the life of his own sister and family, director Nelson George wrote the screenplay with Jim McKay and Hannah Weyer.

Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx, Latifah, Jaime Rucker King, Marcus King, Shakim Compere and Shelby Stone all serve as executive producers. Also appearing in the fillm are Anna Deavere Smith, Wendall Pierce, Gloria Reuben and Tracee Ellis Ross.
