'Rally for Abortion Justice,' part of a nationwide 'Bans Off Our Bodies' day of action will takes place in Union Park, 1501 W. Randolph St. on Saturday, May 14 at 9:30 a.m.

The crowd may be 25,000 strong according to organizers.

Speakers will include:

Illinois Lt. Gov. Julianna Stratton

Chicago First Lady Amy Eshleman,

Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle

Jacqueline Ayers, Senior Vice President of Policy, Campaigns and Advocacy, Planned Parenthood Federation of America

Dr. Allison Cowett, Medical Director, Family Planning Associates Medical Group

Planned Parenthood of Illinois President/CEO Jennifer Welch

Qudsiyyah Sharyif, Deputy Director, Chicago Abortion Fund

Madison Lyleroehr, Board Treasurer and Client Coordinator, Midwest Access Coalition

Storyteller Brittany Mostiller

This event is to protest the leaked draft from the Supreme Court which revealed the court's intention to overturn Roe v. Wade and to demonstrate strong public support for abortion access both in Illinois and nationwide. This Supreme Court decision is a devastating blow for the millions of people who will suddenly find themselves in an abortion desert without legal access to essential sexual and reproductive health care.

Coalition members:

ACLU of Illinois, AIDS Foundation of Chicago, American Association of University Women, Chicago Abortion Fund, Chicago DSA, Chicago for Abortion Rights, Chicago NOW, Chicago Women Take Action, CTU Women's Rights Committee, CTU Women's Rights Committee, Democratic Women of McDonough County, DuPage County NOW, Equality Illinois, Everthrive Illinois, Gay Liberation Network, Illinois Democratic Women, Illinois Juneteenth Committee, Illinois NOW, Illinois SEIU State Council, Illinois Single Payer Coalition, Indivisible Chicago, Indivisible Illinois - Social Justice Alliance, Indivisible Oak Park Area, Macomb Pride, McHenry County NOW, Men4Choice, Midwest Access Project, NAACP DuPage, National Council of Jewish Women - Chicago North Shore, National Council of Jewish Women - South Cook, North/Northwest Suburban Chicago NOW, Peoria NOW, Personal PAC, Planned Parenthood of Illinois, Planned Parenthood Illinois Action, Pride Action Tank, Protest to the Polls, Racial Justice Coalition of West Central Illinois, Reproductive Health Access Project, Reproductive Transparency Now, Rush University Med Students for Choice, She Votes Illinois, Whole Woman's Health Alliance, Will County NOW, Women of the 7th Congressional District, Women's Bar Association of Illinois, Women's March Chicago.
