PrideFest Milwaukee is this weekend. 2004 Entertainment Highlights:
Gates Open 11 a.m. Saturday, June 5, and Sunday, June 6. Fireworks Saturday at 10 p.m. Mass Commitment Ceremony 6 p.m. Sunday. There are five main areas of scheduled activity:
— The Stonewall Tent: Political Education: Discussion/Panels/Presentations everything from Bisexuality 101 to Defeating the Anti-LGBT Constitutional Amendment. Open 11-5:45; Sunday until 8.
— Rainbow Cafe: Saturday includes the hilarious Drag-a-thon at 4 p.m. and then the UWM LGBT Film Festival; Sunday's presentations include 'Nine Layers to Getting Laid,' LGBT Financial Planning and the MilTown Kings and more. Open Noon to 6:45.
— Sports Stage: Saturday MilTown Kings, the Laramie Project and the Youth Village+. Sunday the Inter-Faith Service is at 11:30, Youth programming continues; 6:30 p.m. Youth Drag Show. Open 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
— Dance Pavilion: Saturday Noon Milwaukee Gay Idol Finals (with 2003 Windy City Gay Idols and runner-ups performing), Karaoke, Square Dancing, Youth Fashion Show and LaCage-sponsored Open Dance. Sunday more, 11 a.m. Dancing, Karaoke, Leather Show and the LaCage-sponsored Open Dance.
— Miller Pavilion, the Main Entertainment Stage: SATURDAY, 11:15 a.m. Opening Ceremonies and Community Rally; Corless Morgan; Rainy Day Crush; Tret Fure; Kimmi Hayes Band; Ronnie Nyles; Jason Warner and DeMarco; 8 p.m.: Pepper Mashay with Colton Ford; 9 p.m.: Kristine W; 10 p.m. Break for Fireworks; 11 p.m. Pulsations. SUNDAY 11 a.m. Pulsations; Cream City Chorus; Dropmore Scarlet; Iridium; Nuna; 6 p.m.: C&C Music Factory; 7 p.m. Amber; 8 p.m. Diva Review.
