Milwaukee, WI - Save the date: PrideFest Milwaukee returns to Henry W. Maier Festival Park June 6, 7 and 8 for a 27th year of celebrating LGBT community and culture.
The three-day festival promises a diversity of dazzling local, regional and national entertainment on nearly a dozen stages, as well as marketplace, arts & culture, health & wellness, history, youth, family and athletic events to complete the weekend experience. As one of the nation's largest and longest-running LGBT pride celebrations, PrideFest Milwaukee welcomed over 28,000 visitors in 2013.
This year's theme, "Make Your Moment," was revealed at the 2013 Milwaukee LGBT Film & Video Festival with "Moments of Pride," a short film from videographer Chris Gruber. Click here to view the entire video.
"We live in very exciting times," said Kate Sherry, festival co-producer, "and our community has seen many triumphs in the past year. From the significant national movement towards marriage equality, to the ever-increasing number of out-and-proud LGBT role models in the media, to the growing demand for legal protections in the workplace, we are all taking a stand for what we believe in. We are making these moments matter in LGBT history."
"We invite the entire community to make their moment at PrideFest Milwaukee."
PrideFest Milwaukee proudly honors last year's ticket prices with no increase at any level of admission. The festival again offers the popular three-day, $30 weekend pass through June 6, 2014. Single-day admission prices will be $13 advance, $16 at gate. Single-day VIP passes, which includes access to the exclusive VIP Deck, will be $100 advance, or $225 or the three-day weekend.
Tickets go on sale in mid-March. This year, festival goers will have the option of adding $1 to their ticket purchases to support the American Civil Liberties Union in their critical battle for marriage equality in Wisconsin.
Additional announcements, including box office dates, entertainment schedule, contests and promotions, will be released in mid-March. For up-to-the-minute PrideFest news throughout the year, follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
Without the generous support of our community, PrideFest Milwaukee would not be possible. We welcome performers, volunteers, vendors, sponsors and media partners to be part of the 2014 festival operation.
