"Take Me Now" by Mark Ortega hits airwaves and dancefloors worldwide.
Chicago's out singer-songwriter Mark Ortega has released his original dance song "Take Me Now" to the airwaves and dance floors worldwide. His mission is to provide exceptional music while advancing causes important to the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender community.
"Take Me Now," co-written with Danny MacArthur, is available worldwide on itunes, MP3.com, Amazon and Zune. A portion of the single sales will be donated back into local and national LGBT organizations.
"Entertaining with my music is my life," says Mark Ortega. "Nothing fulfills me more than using my creative abilities to connect with people."
Mark Ortega is the founder of Mark Ortega and Friends, which is a musical showcase featuring local gay artists in Chicago. Partnered with Sofo Entertainment, the showcases provide exceptional live entertainment while raising funds and awareness for causes important to the LGBT community. The showcases have benefited The Trevor Project, Ride For AIDS Chicago, Team To End AIDS, Howard Brown Health Center, Test Positive Aware Network and Lambda Legal.
Along with the showcases, Mark's recent achievements include placing first at Windy City Gay Idol's qualifying round at Sofo Bar in Chicago and was a finalist for Gays Got Talent and Windy City Gay Idol in Chicago in 2010.
Windy City Gay Idol is the 9-year-old annual contest which seeks out the city's best LGBT singer and is sponsored by Windy City Media Group, publishers of Windy City Times, Nightspots and Windy City Queercast in Chicago. See www.windycitymediagroup.com .
Mark's past achievements include performances at gay prides in L.A., San Francisco, Phoenix, Long Beach, Las Vegas, Palm Springs and San Diego, and has preceded acts such as Sir Ari Gold, Brian Kent, Jennifer Holliday, The Motels, Berlin, and Taylor Dayne.
Mark is currently rehearsing and lining up performance dates for his "Pride Tour" in the fall.
