Our Miss Brooks 100 to celebrate Gwendolyn Brooks at the Art Institute of Chicago

An evening of poetry celebrating Gwendolyn Brooks will include all five living African-American Pulitzer Prize-winning poets - Rita Dove, Yusef Komunyakaa, Natasha Trethewey, Tracy K. Smith, and Gregory Pardlo - reading their favorite Brooks poem followed by a conversation moderated by award-winning journalist and author Natalie Moore.
The event is to take place Feb. 2, 2017 6 to 8 p.m. at the Art Institute of Chicago.
The event is free and open to the public, but requires pre-registration, so be sure to RSVP today.
