Williamson said he that it's crucial to him to have an out character on Diaries, a show on The CW, saying, "I always feel like I don't have enough diversity on my show, and that is one of the things I'm very conscientious of. ... In anything, I want everyone represented. I want everybody on the show."

Elizabeth Edwards, the estranged wife of embattled public figure John Edwards, will sit down with openly gay daytime host Nate Berkus during the Sept. 13 premiere week of The Nate Berkus Show to reveal how she is beginning a new chapter in her life focusing on her relationship with her children as well as her love of design. Last year, Elizabeth opened Red Window, a home furnishings business in Chapel Hill whose name was inspired by a shop run by her mother in Japan. Berkus is a popular design expert, best-selling author and regular contributor to The Oprah Winfrey Show since 2002.

Lady Gaga has dominated the MTV Video Music Award nominations, nabbing a record-setting 13, including Best Pop Video and Best Female Video, according to a press release. Gaga said, "A long time ago the world told me and my little monsters we would never be heard, together we changed the rules. God put me on Earth for 3 reasons: To make loud music, gay videos, and cause a damn [ ruckus ] . Thank You MTV!" The show will air live Sunday, Sept. 12.

Apparently, singer Enrique Iglesias made good on his bet to water-ski naked if Spain won the 2010 World Cup. According to AceShowBiz.com, TMZ reportedly obtained video of the moment, which sources said happened late July at night in Biscayne Bay, off of Miami, Fla. Iglesias cannot talk about the stunt, however; police had threatened to bust the 35-year-old "Hero" singer if he did it.

Lesbian actress Jane Lynch has joined the ranks of Angelina Jolie, President Obama and even Kim Kardashian by being immortalized in wax at Madame Tussauds, according to EW.com . I feel like I'm seeing myself in a coffin or something."

Speaking of Glee and Lynch, legendary comedian/actress Carol Burnett has been cast as Sue Sylvester's Nazi-hunting mother, CNN.com reported. Various celebrities have reacted to the historic ruling overturning California's Prop 8. It's going to happen and people have to just come along." Many took to Twitter as well, with singer Adam Lambert posting, "We're gonna throw glitter on this barn tonight!!!"

Former Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars contestant Jake Pavelka has denied that he's gay. According to US Magazine, when he was on the gabfest The View, Pavelka explained the lack of intimacy with ex Vienna Girardi by saying, "I can't separate love and intimacy—and apparently that makes me gay." When asked if he is gay, Pavelka responded, "No, no" before adding that one of his best friends is gay.

Singer/actor Justin Timberlake is going gay. Timberlake, 29, will voice a gay character in an episode of Fox's animated program The Cleveland Show, US Magazine reported. Streisand, 68, stated on her website, "I was very flattered that Jennifer Aniston chose to interpret my style with the photos in Harper's Bazaar." Jane Wiedlin, who plays guitar for the legendary band the Go-Go's and is an ordained minister, would like to marry same-sex couples, Advocate.com reported. Wiedlin, who goes by the name Rev. Sister Go-Go, was pleased with the Aug. 4 Prop 8 ruling, writing on her website, "In celebration of this historic and joyful event, we have lowered the price of my officiant services. No matter what your orientation, if you and your beloved are going to tie the knot, I would be honored to be part of your happy day!"

Basketball legend Isiah Thomas and his son, Joshua Zeke Thomas, have posed for Adam Bouska's NOH8 campaign to show their support of same-sex marriage, according to Advocate.com . On Bouska's website, they said, "We posed for the NOH8 Campaign because we believe that all hate and discrimination is wrong. It is time for full equality and equal rights for everyone, regardless of race, sexual orientation, religion, or gender."
