Democratic candidate for Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan has called on the Illinois Federation for Right to Life and her opponent to stop exploiting breast cancer for political purposes.

Across the country anti-choice groups have tried to establish a link between abortion and breast cancer. The Illinois Federation for Right to Life's candidate endorsement questionaire election asked, "Would you support legislation that would establish a task force to study the link between abortion and breast cancer?"

Senator Madigan's opponent, Joe Birkett, responded that he supports legislation establishing a task force to study the link between abortion and breast cancer. Birkett received the endorsement of the Illinois Federation for Right to Life.
