San Jose, CA — February 1, 2011 — Logo, the world's leading ad-supported cable, satellite, online, mobile and digital entertainment network from MTV Networks, for gays and lesbians, their families and friends, today launched online support for the Wolfe "Pay to Play" anti-piracy public service announcement ( PSA ) campaign by giving exposure to a series of star-studded PSA's on the network's Just Cause website platform and across the channel's many online properties — including leading gay and lesbian entertainment news sites, AfterElton.com and AfterEllen.com .

The Pay to Play: Support Community Filmmaking PSA campaign was created by Kathy Wolfe — founder and CEO of the country's largest exclusive lesbian, gay, bi and transgender ( LGBT ) film distributor, Wolfe. The campaign was produced and directed by well-known film and television producer JD Disalvatore.

"Logo has been a committed supporter of community independent film and independent artists since our first day of broadcast," said Logo SVP of Multiplatform Programming Marc Leonard. "We hope that by helping to spread the word about this issue, our community will take a stand and join us in supporting these filmmakers and artists."

The four-part PSA series spotlights a wide array of the community's favorite gay and lesbian actors, filmmakers and straight allies asking their fans to "Pay to Play" and to support community filmmaking by not participating in online movie piracy and illegal downloading.

"Please support the LGBT filmmaking community by remembering to purchase, rent, or legally download films," says popular Queer as Folk star Thea Gill in one of the PSAs.

"This campaign is Wolfe's fun and entertaining way of educating consumers about the problem of movie piracy in the gay and lesbian community," said Wolfe President Maria Lynn. "We're extremely grateful to our colleagues at Logo for taking such leadership in championing awareness of this issue."

Logo will be promoting the series of four PSAs throughout the month of February.

The complete star-studded cast of the PSA series includes: Thea Gill ( Mulligans, Queer as Folk ) , Darryl Stephens ( Boy Culture, Noah's Arc ) , Charlie David ( Mulligans, Bump! ) , Ashleigh Sumner ( And Then Came Lola ) , Michelle Wolff ( Mango Kiss ) , Matthew Montgomery ( Pornography: A Thriller, Role/Play ) , Steve Callahan ( East Side Story, Role/Play ) , Dreya Weber ( The Gymnast, A Marine Story ) , Ned Farr ( The Gymnast, A Marine Story ) , Nicole Conn ( Claire of the Moon, Elena Undone ) , Nicole Bilberbach ( The New Twenty ) and Colin Fickes ( The New Twenty ) .

There are four installments of the Pay to Play PSA, which can be accessed online at the Logo Just Cause community page at the following link:
