LGBTQ+ group OneWheaton puts up billboard

The LGBTQ+ organization OneWheatoncomposed of Wheaton College alumniis noting its 10th homecoming season in a special way.
OneWheaton has put up a billboard near campus on Roosevelt Road, just east of the intersection of Interstate 355. The 45-foot-long billboard proclaims "We're still here."
The billboard includes a commemoration of late co-founder and 1989 graduate Jose Vilanova. The sign will be up until Sunday, Oct. 17, and will be seen approximately 500,000 times by members of the community, including those driving to Wheaton College for the 2021 homecoming.
OneWheaton will also have events planning for the upcoming weekend. See www.onewheaton.com . |
