The Kinsey Sicks, America's Favorite Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet, have hit the campaign trail, and Chicago is their next stop. As we now know, corporations are people too. And The Kinsey Sicks are proud to be the first corporation to run for president of the United States on the Republican ticket. (Don't forget, Halliburton was only vice president.)
Shows at Chicago's Mayne Stage are October 19, 2012 at 7:30 and at 10. Tickets are available online at maynestage.com .
In ELECTILE DYSFUNCTION: THE KINSEY SICKS FOR PRESIDENT, the Dragapella® divas present their views on pressing political issues such as education, immigration, unemployment, scandal and corruption — and all in glorious 4-part harmony. Their original songs and brilliant re-imaginings of classics include such numbers as "Sell the Poor," "Eliminate the Schools," and their campaign anthem, "Vote for Me (I'm Not From Kenya)."
The Kinsey Sicks combine razor-sharp political satire with brilliant musicianship and more than a dollop of raunch. ELECTILE DYSFUNCTION was a world-premiere commission for Washington DC's Theater J and is now touring the country (including a stop in Tampa during the Republican National Convention). Additional cities include: New York, Minneapolis, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, Pittsburgh and Denver.
